01. Getting Started Info

First things First

  • Pick a project idea for the class. This essay by Paul Graham, "How to Get Startup Ideas" will help.
  • Once you receive an email invitation from Slack, join our "gadcpdm7" team and add your photo.
  • Review course dates and advise instructors of planned missed days. (No more than 2 absentees for the course)
  • Create an account on the [Github] (https://github.com) website. This will allow you to stay up to-date on the added course documentation that the instructors will post on the [Github PDM7 Repository] (https://github.com/idrmiller/PDM7).
  • Review course outline and get ready for the grand adventure of product management.

General Information

  • Homework will be focused on the required deliverables for the students final assignment
  • Instructors will encourage peer review of homework, (method TBD)
  • Feedback will be provide through Slack, in-class discussions, peer reviews, office hours, and one-on-one sceduled discussions.
  • Reading assignments will be assigned each week or for each class.
  • Following agile methods, we will select a student at the beggining of the class to conduct a 5 minute stand-up to provide updates on their projects Success, Roadblocks, Lessons Learned, and Next steps.
  • The last 5 minutes of class will be dedicated to students completing the Instructor Class Feedback Form.
