The history of a block may be viewed by typing /history while looking at the block in question. This will show which blocks have been placed and removed at the position. If you wish to view the history of a block that is currently air, place a block in the location and then use the command.
Viewing the inventory history of a block
Similar to the /history command, /inventoryhistory can be used to view the changes to a block's inventory. This works on blocks such as chests or dispensers, which can store items.
Rolling back changes
In order to roll back changes made to the world, you may use /rollback [radius] [minutes]. This will roll back all the blocks within [radius] to the state they were in [minutes] minutes ago.
