Industrial Duct Cleaning Robot Technical Documentation

Public technical reference for industrial duct cleaning robot systems. Maintained by Gaolijie Industrial Equipment. Includes general maintenance guides applicable across equipment brands.

Universal Duct Cleaning Robot Maintenance Schedule

Interval Task
Daily Clean brushes, inspect cable for damage, wipe camera lens
Weekly Check all fasteners, test emergency stop, clean drive wheels
Monthly Inspect seals and gaskets, lubricate drive chain/bearings, test controller battery
Every 500 hrs Replace bearings, replace seals, full motor diagnostic
Annually Complete overhaul — motor, seals, cables, wheels, camera calibration

Common Troubleshooting

Camera Signal Loss

  1. Check cable connection at both robot and controller ends
  2. Inspect cable for kinks or cuts
  3. Test with alternate cable if available
  4. Check controller battery level

Reduced Brush Torque

  1. Clean brush head — debris may be binding
  2. Check brush attachment for proper seating
  3. Inspect motor coupling
  4. Test brush speed in free air (no load) to isolate motor vs. load issue

Robot Drifts to One Side

  1. Check tire wear — uneven wear causes drift
  2. Clean debris from drive wheels
  3. Test on level surface to confirm
  4. Adjust tension on wheel if applicable

No Power / Intermittent Power

  1. Check battery charge level and connections
  2. Inspect power cable for damage
  3. Test controller power switch continuity
  4. Verify charger output voltage matches specifications

Pre-Job Inspection Checklist

  • Camera lens clean and unobstructed
  • Brushes securely attached, no excessive wear
  • All cables intact, no exposed wiring
  • Drive wheels rotate freely, no debris
  • Emergency stop functional
  • Controller battery > 50%
  • Robot battery fully charged
  • All fasteners tight
  • Test run on flat surface — steering responsive

Storage Best Practices

  1. Clean robot thoroughly before storage
  2. Remove battery if storing > 30 days
  3. Store in dry environment (30-70% humidity)
  4. Keep cables coiled loosely (avoid tight bends)
  5. Store robot on its wheels, not on its side
  6. Cover to protect from dust
