Cuts battery drain by replacing the old device-wide mcetool workaround with a per-app power model: the WebSocket runs while the screen is on, and switches to lightweight polling when it's off. Notifications still arrive promptly — within your chosen poll interval while asleep, instantly while the app is open. Also fixes a few reliability gaps: the WebSocket can no longer get stuck silently disconnected, the credential store no longer freezes the UI, message saves can't corrupt on crash, and a leaked keepalive bug that could drain battery is resolved.
