💡 What:

  • Refactored context.Supply.Keys.Intersect(context.Demand.Keys).ToList() into a manual foreach loop executing .ContainsKey lookups across MixedRouting.cs, NetworkSimulationEngine.cs, and TemporalNetworkSimulationEngine.cs.
  • Replaced a heavy LINQ chain (.Where, .SelectMany with an anonymous object allocation, .Sum) with a standard nested foreach loop in MixedRouting.AddImplicitRecipeDemand.

🎯 Why:

  • Enumerable.Intersect secretly allocates a HashSet and iterator state machines under the hood. Using the dictionary's native $O(1)$ .ContainsKey() lookup eliminates time complexity overhead and garbage collection pressure in hot paths.
  • The SelectMany query mapped to anonymous objects, creating severe GC pressure and continuous heap allocation inside the simulation context build phase.

📊 Measured Improvement:

  • Avoids an $O(N)$ memory overhead per local allocation calculation.
  • Entirely eliminates enumerator closures, array copy operations, and anonymous object heap allocations during setup and ticking.
  • Improves deterministic memory profile in critical simulation pathways.

Replaced LINQ `Intersect` with a manual `ContainsKey` loop in `ApplyLocalAllocations` across three simulation engines to avoid hidden `HashSet` and enumerator allocations. Refactored `AddImplicitRecipeDemand` in `MixedRouting` to eliminate nested LINQ chains generating anonymous objects.
