Compatibility with new versions and saving settings

Great work on the new versions, but what compatibility is there with the old version 2.7.1 ? Now the new firmware is even more complete, but it would be even more complete if there was a function that saves the settings. Thank you for the work you are doing.

Regarding your question: the new versions are fully compatible with the old version 2.7.1, so you don't need to worry about that at all.

Also, thank you for the suggestion about saving settings! I have good news - I have actually implemented a Backup & Restore function in the latest version (v3.2). I invite you to download it and give it a try!

I updated, but... Everything works, but there are problems with the Wall clock, the line that shows it scrolls continuously even though it has no "effects", also after the update the time zone, after having set it to the correct value I get an error and the change is not made.I tried the backup, but not the recovery.

I did some more tests and I noticed that the scrolling from right to left is probably caused by a clock with seconds, so it's too long.When only displaying HH:MM it doesn't scroll anymore, but it didn't work that way before. I'm fine with the truncation, but if I wanted to scroll it, there are the "effects" parameters. My other two lines Instead, they work as well as before. The new interface is beautiful and cleaner thanks to the division of functions.

However, I am noticing anomalies similar to those of the Wall clock scrolling in the other rows as well, but in random, I can't code it.

I confirm, the scrolling overflow problem exists on the other rows as well.

Today I tried disabling continuous scrolling via the interface and via MQTT without success. I think I'll try the previous version, as the way I handle texts, continuous scrolling doesn't work makes vers.3.2 unusable.

Thanks for the feedback! Please check the release notes for the new version and test it. The changes in the new version should resolve the issue you are experiencing.

Unfortunately nothing has changed, I still can't stop scrolling on overflow.For the clock line, I'd prefer the truncation as it was before, possibly with a choice. I'm going back to version 3.1.

I would like to clarify the issue to ensure I fully understand your requirements.

It seems the HH:MM:SS format exceeds the display zone's dimensions. In firmware version 3.3-rc, this causes the text to scroll continuously from right to left as the time updates.

To confirm, would you prefer the display to remain static, showing only the characters that fit within the zone without any scrolling?

If my understanding is incorrect, please provide more details. Screenshots of your current settings would also be very helpful for troubleshooting (including Display settings).

Dearest, you understood correctly, it would be nice to be able to manage the infinite scrolling yes/no for the clock too.Let me explain, I have configured a clock in my zone 2 (4x1 display) with hours, minutes and seconds, these are important to me, a small part comes out of the display, but I'm fine with that because they remain well understandable. If these scroll continuously, however, it's a big annoyance for me. Thank you so much for what you will do.

I’m unable to reproduce the issue on my side. Could you please share your zone settings and describe in detail what isn’t working as expected, and how you expect it to work?
