I did this with Claude Code, didn't give it a tremendous amount of thought so caveat codem. I don't love the fixed offset adjustments but I'd need to sit down and think about it more to figure out why. I think if I was to re-do it from scratch I'd probably use a terminal framing/layout library a la
ratatuibut without actually throwing the terminal emulator into a persistent TUI frame.I was able to reproduce the layout issues with both
ghosttyandgnome-terminalon Ubuntu 25.04.gnome-terminalis using Fira Code Nerd Font Mono.
