TraQR User Guide

The TraQR application will be used to track when a person is in a given space, so we can better assist tracking endeavors if there is a case of COVID-19.

There are 4 levels of access/interface to the system (each an umbrella to those below):

  • Standard User (Everyone on campus)
  • QR code generator (Administrative Staff)
  • Data Review (MSO/Building Manager)
  • Sysadm (Programmer/Tech)Add Headings (Format > Paragraph styles) and they will appear in your table of contents.

Standard User:

To use the TraQR app, you will need to be given a personalized QR code and/or web link. You will use this link to check in and out of the building.

The QR code will look something like this:

Scan the code with your phone, or if you have the live link, click on it to proceed with the check in/out process. Note: (Newer phones cameras will recognize the QR code and direct you to visit the webpage. Older phones can download any QR code reader). You will be taken to the Ingress/Egress confirmation page Click on the Confirmation Button You will get a “Success” Notification

Click on the Success notification to finish the process, after which you will see the following screen:

Once you see this screen, you have successfully checked in/out. Repeat this process on your way out of the building, or when you come in the next day.

Note: If you wait too long (~ 10 seconds) to confirm your ingress or Egress on the screen with the blue boxes, you will get this error and you will need to start the process again.

User: Save your QR code link as an “app” (icon) on your phone:

How do I convert a link to an app on my iPhone? Launch Safari on your ‌iPhone‌ or ‌iPad‌. Navigate to the site that you want to create a Home screen shortcut to. Tap the Share icon (the square with an arrow pointing out of it) at the bottom of the screen.

Scroll through to the list of actions and tap Add to ‌Home Screen‌.

You will have the option to name the icon at this point. The App will then be available to you
