Role: Accounting & Business Analytics Intern, Delta Fabricating (Jan 2026 – May 2026) Tools: Power Query, Tableau, AutoCAD 2026
Led an initiative to redesign the current hardware inventory storage system, with a focus on operational efficiency, part-level traceability, and controlled access.
Original inventory data exported as .csv files (quantity on hand, part numbers, bin locations, transaction volume).
[TODO: describe your actual data fields / source system]
- Cleaned and transformed the raw
.csvdata using Microsoft Power Query - Built 2 Tableau dashboards to identify:
- High quantity-on-hand (QOH) parts
- High-volume parts and bins, for storage planning
[TODO: replace with screenshots of the Tableau dashboards]
- Sourced new storage bins based on the dashboard findings
- Designed a new facility floorplan layout in AutoCAD 2026
- Assembled shelving and physically moved inventory to the new layout
[TODO: replace with the AutoCAD floorplan]
[TODO: replace with before/after photos of the facility, if available]
- Completed physical implementation in May 2026
- Improved part-level traceability and access control
- Data-driven layout reduced inefficient storage/retrieval patterns
