News items overflowed on mobile because the flex row lacked min-w-0 and word wrapping, and a long unbroken mailto link forced extra width. An accessibility audit also found insufficient color contrast (lightgray/gray-500 on white) and touch targets under 44x44/24x24, both now fixed with the existing semigray token and added padding.
