eBPF mode doesn't use the sidecar — these annotations were dead config. Deleted kafka and sim-client annotation files entirely (no remaining annotations) and removed their patches from kustomization.yaml. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.6 <noreply@anthropic.com>
