Dwarf changes:

  • Obsidian no longer drops when mined.
  • Wither Warrior now gets 1 soul charge when killing a player indirectly (such as making them fall to death).
  • Baker now produces 2-4 Clay instead of 2-3 Clay.
  • Blacksmith now starts with Coal Ore instead of Coal.
  • Blacksmith now gets 3-6 Coal Ore instead of 3-4 Coal with their transmutes.
  • Coal Ore, Gold Ore and Redstone Ore are now considered Dwarf Blocks (can be mined by Piglins and infested by Silverfish).
  • Betrayer's Dagger weapon ability - Assassinate, backstab angle increased 120° -> 180°.
  • Elder Guardian Eye now deals damage.
  • Particles for when a dwarf is near the edge of shrine zone or zombie spawn zone got their range and number increased.

Zombie changes:

  • Chillager's Chilling Backstab weapon ability got it's backstab angle increased 120° -> 180°.

Bug fixes:

  • Golden Flail, Sunfury and Betrayer's Dagger are no longer considered weapons and tools, which prevents them from activating their weapon ability when attacking or when destroying blocks. They can no longer break Cobwebs faster (will be fixed in the future).
  • death.attack.shrine_destroyed.player, death.attack.outside_shrine_range.player and death.attack.inside_zombie_spawn_range.player death messages should no longer appear.
  • Blaze now properly gets its gravity attribute removed after fireflying.

Technical changes:

  • Certain custom bars now show full before disappearing.
  • "custom" source is no longer a part of blocks atlas.
  • Added 4 segmented red custom bar (currently unused).

General changes:

  • Shrine Health bossbar is now hidden when the game switches to game over phase.

Dwarf changes:

  • Successfully transmuting with a non-builder summoning book now clears the global active item/ability cooldown.
  • The description of Assassinate, the weapon ability of Betrayer's Dagger, has been reworded to make it more clear it's a right-click ability.
  • Sunfury no longer has Sweeping Edge enchantment (it didn't work).
  • Golden Flail, Sunfury and Betrayer's Dagger now break Cobwebs faster.

Zombie changes:

  • Wolf defense score increased: 3 stars -> 4 stars
  • Hoglin defense score increased: 4 stars -> 5 stars
  • Zombies get damage immunity (resistance 5) and fall damage immunity when near zombie spawn.
  • Zombies no longer take fall damage after jumping off the ender portal.

Balance changes:

  • Zombie variants protection level reduced: 16 -> 10
  • Hoglin protection level reduced: 15 -> 10
  • Golem protection level reduced: 16 -> 10

Technical changes:

  • Attributes now use ogvz: namespace instead of ogvz. prefix.

Bugfixes:

  • death.attack.cyanide.player death message should no longer show up.
  • Lantern Blocks (Sea Lanterns) now drop itself when mined by a dwarf.
  • Players that die before the plague ends and respawn after it ends will no longer get 2 sets of zombie spawn discs.
  • Redstone Dust now has a consistent lore description for all sources of the item.
  • Players are now dismounted from the invisible "seat" after picking a zombie class.
  • Pearl Rod now properly checks if the shrine is obstructed.

  • Game has been completely rewritten from scratch. Code is now more readable, scalable and has better performance.
  • Resource pack has been remade. Most textures got tweaked or completely remade. Textures are now more consistent with vanilla MineCraft textures.

Admin changes:

  • Admins now always join the server in creative mode.
  • Admins now get the Admin Handbook instead of the Rulebook.
  • Admins can now easily spawn in setup tools, any spawn disc, any legendary item and some specific items using the Admin Handbook.
  • Setup tools have been added and use dialogs.
  • Shrine tape measure has been added and shows the distance from the shrine when in your inventory.
  • Display markers were added to make the locations of shrine, lobby, zombie spawns and boss spawn easier to see. They disappear when the game starts.
  • Up to 4 different zombie spawns can be placed now. When more than one zombie spawn exists, zombies will be given an obsidian skull, which allows them to teleport between the zombie spawns when near one.
  • Lobby is now required to be placed, otherwise the game cannot start.
  • Boss spawn has been added, allowing the location from where the boss will spawn to be set. Boss spawn is required in order for the game to start (doesn't work and isn't required for the assassin boss).
  • Admins are now notified when somebody is setting up the game.

Setup phase changes:

  • Rulebook now uses a dialog to show the rules.
  • Rules have been updated.
  • Players that join the server are now put in adventure mode and given damage immunity.
  • Players that haven't joined the game yet will be placed back inside lobby instead of becoming zombies when killed.
  • Players will no longer be killed upon joining the server if the game is in zombie phase or later, instead using the magma cream will join them on the zombie team.
  • Welcoming message has been updated.
  • Players will now be informed whether the game is still being set up, is in progress, or has ended when joining the server. You can also use "/trigger game_status" to get this message.
  • Bedrock texture is no longer randomly rotated.
  • Rulebook and Magma Cream cannot be dropped.
  • You can rejoin the server to get another Rulebook and Magma Cream if you somehow lose them.
  • Magma Cream is now named Join Game to avoid confusion with the regular item.
  • During the boss phase, players will join the zombie team instead of the dwarf team.
  • Players will get all crafting recipes upon joining the server.

Build phase changes:

  • Progress bar until boss spawns is now colored differently depending on the boss chosen for the game.
  • You can use "/trigger doom_event" to see which boss has been chosen for the game.
  • The entire build phase happens during the day. Boss spawns during the sunset and the entire zombie phase happens during the night.
  • Any Shrine obstructions will be cleared when a player joins the game as a dwarf.
  • Builders no longer receive mana from using their Summoning Books.
  • Builders now regenerate mana at half the rate of non-builder dwarves.
  • Builders now get half as much mana from all mana sources compared to non-builder dwarves.
  • Builders now have a mana cap of 9999.
  • Enchanters no longer get mana from using their Summoning Book.
  • Enchanters now regenerate mana and have a mana cap of 100 like all other non-builder dwarves.
  • Non-builder dwarves can now overflow their mana up to 200, from any source that isn't natural mana regeneration.
  • Mana (experience) bar now fills up as you gain mana becoming full at 100+ mana.
  • Instant buildings have been removed.
  • Various items now have a description on how to use them and which class to give them to.
  • Dwarves are no longer limited to using only one legendary book, but they are still consumable.
  • All dwarves now start with a legendary book.
  • All dwarves now have a unique looking Summoning Book.
  • All dwarves now have enough materials to do 4 transmutes from the start.
  • Builders now get a Crab Claw, which increases their block reach by 2 blocks when held in either hand.
  • Builders now always get the Stonecutter.
  • Builders now get Flint and Steel instead of Fire Charges.
  • Builders and Blacksmiths now get a Crafting Table.
  • Builders and Blacksmiths now get an Iron Paxel instead of the Iron Pickaxe. Paxel is a multi-tool combining all tools (including the sword) into a single item.
  • Blacksmiths now get 4 Blast Furnaces instead of 4 regular Furnaces.
  • Blacksmiths now require 4 Clocks to do their transmutes down from 5.
  • Tailors now get a Silk Touch Wooden Shovel so they can retrieve any misplaced Grass Blocks.
  • Tailors now get a Super Fertilizer, which converts the biome around a Grass Block into the plains biome.
  • Bakers now require 8 Clay Bricks to do their transmutes down from 10.
  • Bakers now get Glass Bottles with their transmutes.
  • Golden Apples and Cakes now list the effects they give when eaten.
  • Alchemists now get 4 Chests up from 2.
  • Alchemists now start with a Water Wand, which lets them fill Cauldrons with water.
  • Alchemists now get Glass Bottles from Bakers.
  • Alchemists now get Blaze Powder from their own transmutes.
  • Alchemist potions are now called Magic Potions.
  • Magic Leaping Potions have been removed.
  • Enchanters now get 4 Anvils up from 2.
  • Enchanters will now always get max level enchantments when enchanting at base enchanting level 30.
  • Cakes now stack up to 64 and give regeneration when eaten, but have 1 less slice to eat.
  • Bookshelves now drop itself.
  • Chests and Barrels are once again craftable.
  • All storage loot tables now contain either nothing or Cobwebs.
  • All block loot tables have been updated, so only dwarves can get block drops. The only exception now are the Chest and Barrel, which drop when mined by zombies as well.
  • "Illegal" crafting recipes are no longer replaced by new recipes, instead they are filtered out entirely.
  • Vanilla advancements have been removed.
  • Natural regeneration is no longer accelerated by Saturation.
  • Natural regeneration now heals at a consistent rate of 1 health (half a heart) every 2 seconds.
  • Natural regeneration now causes half as much exhaustion.
  • All Magic Potions now cost 20 mana.
  • Magic Regeneration Potion now gives Regeneration 2 for 15 seconds instead of Instant Health.
  • Magic Swiftness Potion now gives Speed 2 and Dolphin's Grace for 15 seconds.
  • Magic Strength Potion now gives Strength 1 for 15 seconds.
  • Dolphin's Grace now nullifies the effect of Depth Strider enchantment when active.
  • Pearl Rod now has a 5 second warmup timer. Taking damage during it will cancel the teleportation.
  • You will now get an actionbar message when an active item/ability recharges.
  • All active items/abilities now share a global cooldown of 0.25 seconds to prevent accidental double use.
  • Ray-casting has been improved and is now much more accurate.
  • All Summoning Book transmutations have been reworked to be much more consistent.
  • All non-vanilla weapons have been removed.
  • A new weapon, Dagger has been added.
  • The shrine safe zone has been changed from a 150 block radius sphere to a 128 block radius cylinder with infinite height.
  • The zombie spawn danger zone has been changed to a 32 block radius cylinder with infinite height.
  • Dwarves now get different colored skull particles when near the edges of shrine safe zone and zombie spawn danger zone.
  • New death messages were added for dying when outside the shrine safe zone and for being inside the zombie spawn danger zone.

Boss phase changes:

  • Bosses are currently unimplemented. They'll be implemented sometime before the 2.0 release.

Plague phase:

  • Plague phase is a new phase that takes place after the boss phase and before the zombie phase.
  • Plague phase is skipped if enough players were killed during the boss phase.
  • Plague will apply permanent withering to random dwarves, eventually killing them, in order to achieve the 35% (rounded up) zombie players quota.
  • Withering effect now ignores Protection enchantment.
  • Plague will prioritize dwarves marked for death. You can toggle your mark for death by using "/trigger mark_for_death".
  • Plague phase will end when all plagued dwarves are killed. Afterwards the zombie phase will begin.

Zombie phase changes:

  • Dwarves will now recover 1 mana/second when standing near the shrine.
  • Dwarves will naturally regenerate 5% less mana/second for every broken shrine block.
  • Standing near the shrine will display the shrine health bossbar.
  • Shrine can no longer be "repaired" with new Gold Blocks.
  • Zombies will now automatically get spawn discs instead of having to use a Golden Nugget to get them.
  • Zombies will now always spawn in with the Suicide Pill.
  • A new death message was added for taking the Suicide Pill.
  • A new system was created that punishes players that try to abuse killing themselves soon after spawning in to "reroll" spawn discs.
  • Zombie spawn discs are now have much more in-depth descriptions.
  • Drowned and Guardian discs are now exclusive to Elder Guardian boss games instead of also appearing when it's raining.
  • The standard zombie spawn now looks like a skull.
  • Natures have been removed.
  • Zombie and Skeleton "toys" have been removed.
  • Zombie classes are now sorted in ascending order of rarity on the tab menu.

Last stand phase:

  • Now has an official name.
  • Starts when only one dwarf remains.
  • The last dwarf will be given infinite Regeneration 2, Speed 2, Strength 1, Resistance 2 and Glowing. These effects will be lost if the shrine is broken.

Game over phase changes:

  • When all shrine blocks are destroyed, dwarves will begin taking constant damage and will eventually die with a unique death message.
  • Game statistics will be listed when the game is over. Currently only the game time is shown, but this will likely be expanded upon in later updates.
