I'm an applied data scientist with a PhD from Northwestern University in physical organic chemistry 🧪 with expertise in Python 🐍 and machine learning 🤖.
My career in physical science has provided me with over ten years of experience in applying techniques such as statistical analysis, dimensionality reduction, and time series modeling to noisy experimental data. I'm also skilled at communicating complex ideas to a variety of audiences-- from presenting findings to other chemists at research meetings and conferences to explaining scientific concepts to grade school students.
After finishing a postdoc at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, I completed an intensive data science bootcamp through The Data Incubator, where I focused on applied machine learning, data pipelines, and real-world analytics projects. Since then I've continued to develop my skills, primarily through collaborative volunteer projects with DataKind.
