Barrel-level provenance and compliance tracking for casks that are worth keeping honest
CaskMark is an early-stage platform concept for craft distilleries, whiskey brokers, and cask investors who need a reliable record of where a cask has been and who has owned it. The core idea is to make the kind of undocumented, informal cask trading that lets questionable provenance slip through structurally harder to pull off.
- Cask registration with fill date, distillery, spirit type, and vessel details
- Maturation tracking across the full aging period
- Real-time angel's share evaporation estimate based on fill volume and time elapsed
- Ownership transfer recording with an append-only audit trail
- Compliance-oriented record structure to support due diligence for buyers and brokers

This is a prototype-stage codebase — the data model and core tracking logic are the focus at this point. No external database, blockchain layer, or third-party service is wired up yet. The structure is intentionally kept simple to validate the concept before committing to infrastructure.
