Energy-Analysis

This repository contains a Jupyter notbook that looks at energy data from the National Renewable Energy Laboratory(NREL) to explore the carbon footprint of electricity production across various regions in the U.S. This mini-project uses data to answer questions surrounding how specific times(hourly and monthly) affect carbon produced per MWh.

Key Questions Adressed:

-Which regions produce the most carbon per MWH monthly?

-What do hourly trends in carbon intensity look like?

-How does this relate to the California "Duck Curve"?

The NREL data I used can be found here: https://data.nrel.gov/submissions/230
