Homepage hero rewrite

What changed

Before: "Stop burning energy on keeping your teams together." + gradient blobs + blue button

After: "Your team doesn't need another blank canvas. It needs a system." + clean whitespace + dark button

Why

The old hero was informational ("here's what the product does"). The new one is a statement of belief ("here's what we think you need"). It positions Operately against the Notion/ClickUp/blank-canvas world -- the same angle the masterplan page uses, but distilled into one line.

Design decisions

  • Removed gradient blobs. They were the Upgrade to Astro 4.7 #1 "Tailwind template" tell. White space is more confident.
  • Dark/black CTA button instead of brand blue. Feels more assured, less "startup trying to be friendly."
  • Three-layer text hierarchy:
    1. Emotional hook (H1) -- why this exists
    2. Product description (subtitle) -- what it does
    3. Factual attributes (third line) -- open source, self-host, free
  • Cleaner release pill. Green dot + version number, no emoji.
  • 26 lines instead of 56. Less code = less noise = more focus.

What this doesn't do (yet)

  • Doesn't touch Intro, Goals, Projects, or CTA sections (separate PR for visual character)
  • Doesn't add new visuals/illustrations (needs design skills I don't have)
  • The Intro section below ("You don't need a COO") now slightly overlaps in energy -- may need adjusting if this merges

Replaces generic 'stop burning energy' hero with opinionated positioning:
- H1: 'Your team doesn't need another blank canvas. It needs a system.'
- Positions directly against Notion/ClickUp (echoes masterplan)
- Separates emotional pitch from factual attributes
- Removes gradient blob decorations (generic SaaS look)
- Dark CTA button (more confident than brand-blue)
- Cleaner release pill (green dot vs rocket emoji)
- More whitespace, less visual noise
