The repositories here are personal hobby projects, some of which have been around for decades in one form or another, and some of which are quite new (I have more spare time for such things since I retired).
They are not intended to be of "commercial quality" nor in anyway to set the world on fire, but they may be of interest to some people and may deal with some less usual things. The main topics involved are aspects of science, engineering and (large system) retro-computing. Some involve hardware as well as software.
Many of the projects are related in that they use each other. For example, projects that need to plot graphs use the GPLOT2 graph plotting project software to do so. On the other hand, there has also been some limited attempt to keep things somewhat self contained.
In addition to the public repositories, there are several private repos which I hope to clean up and make public eventually.
Languages used are Python 3, C, C++ and Fortran-77, along with shell scripts. Supported operating systems are Linux, macOS (often) and certain historic mainframe and minicomputer operating systems. None of this software is intended to work on Microsoft Windows.
