Welcome to the Outreach Repository

👋 Welcome! If you are looking for the official repository of the NeoNephos Outreach Committee you have come to the right place!

What do we do?

According to 4a.ii of the NeoNephos Charter, the Outreach Committee is defined as such:

The Outreach Committee will be responsible for the design, development, and execution of community outreach efforts on behalf of the Governing Board. The Outreach Committee is expected to coordinate closely with the Governing Board and technical communities to maximize the outreach and visibility of the Technical Project throughout the ecosystem.

Explicit work items derived from this abstract definition are:

  • Proposing events to the Governing Board
  • Managing the NeoNephos Ambassador Program
  • Managing Merchandise
  • Designing and implementing a marketing and PR strategy
  • Managing Social Media accounts

Meetings

Monthly on Wednesdays @3PM CET/CEST.

All meetings are managed by the Linux Foundation Project Control Center.

Members

Our current chairperson is Annika Opitz who also has an observer seat at the NeoNephos Governing Board. All our current members and their voting statuses are kept up-to-date here.

Note

The members of the Outreach Committee are representatives of Premium and General Members.

Tip

Participation in our SIGs is decided by the SIGs themselves. Check the SIGs to see their membership requirements.

How to get involved

Our committee and working group meetings are open to the people defined in 4a.i of our charter and a handful of invitees - yet! In the meantime, feel free to ask questions here, on Zulip or ping our members directly.
