Motivation

• Provide a focused, implementation-ready audit and plan to resolve layout, comparison, 3D rendering, legend/metrics, and interaction issues found in the current NeuroSeg Pro UI.
• Create a single handoff artifact that an implementation agent can follow to refactor the viewer, add comparison features, and modernize the 3D visualization and metrics experience.

Description

• Added docs/ui_ux_upgrade_blueprint.md which contains a prioritized issue audit derived from current code behavior, a professional feature roadmap, phased rollout guidance, and acceptance criteria.
• Included a detailed, technical, copy-paste prompt for a coding agent that specifies architecture tasks (layout manager, modular viewer components, standardized data contracts), UI/UX requirements (drawers, overlays, comparison modes), and a 3D viewer overhaul (volume rendering, meshes, clipping planes).
• Fixed a small formatting placeholder in the document to ensure the embedded prompt block is well-formed and readable.

Testing

• Verified the new file docs/ui_ux_upgrade_blueprint.md exists and is readable by running basic content checks (e.g. wc -l and head to confirm presence and structure).
• Sanitized and validated the prompt block to ensure no malformed placeholder lines remain.
• Confirmed the document contains the expected sections: issue audit, roadmap, detailed prompt, acceptance criteria, and rollout plan.
