ci: publish to Maven Central only on merge to main; standardize .gitignore#1

…gnore Build + test now run on every push/PR (no publish); the deploy step is gated to push events on main only, so pull requests and other branches build/lint without publishing. GPG signing is skipped on the build step. Also refresh the .gitignore (Maven/Eclipse/IDE/OS/vendored-jars). Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <noreply@anthropic.com>
