This would be great to have merged, it's a bad practice for libraries to onfigure logging. |

Hello and sorry for the absence. Indeed this is not and never was a priority and I'll be looking forward to ceding control/maintenance of the repo/package. I'll look into what's needed and make a somewhat more official announcement in the repo's readme to gauge interest in taking over. |

This will fix issue #8 and preserve development log level.
