Abdullah Çafer

Software developer building practical Windows applications, automation systems, and open-source tools.

I enjoy turning complicated or repetitive problems into software that feels simple to use.

I don’t stop when the code works. I take projects from the first idea to a usable release including interface design, testing, packaging, documentation, updates, and user support.

I’m currently open to software engineering opportunities, particularly in desktop development, automation, developer tools, and product-focused engineering.

What I bring

  • I can take ownership of a project from idea to release.
  • I care about the people using the software, not only the technology behind it.
  • I design for reliability, understandable behavior, and safe failure recovery.
  • I’m comfortable learning unfamiliar systems and working close to the operating system when necessary.
  • I maintain documentation, releases, and user communities around the software I build.

Selected work

An open-source Windows application that gives users transparent control over how selected programs use system resources.

Instead of applying hidden system tweaks, WinAnanicy uses visible and reversible rules. It can manage process priority, CPU allocation, efficiency settings, and resource limits, then restore the original state when a rule is no longer active.

I built the native C++ engine, the .NET desktop interface, automated tests, release pipeline, installer, portable package, verification documentation, and English/Turkish localization.

A Windows automation application for Mudae, a collectible character game played through Discord.

What started as a personal automation project grew into a maintained application with standalone Windows releases and an active Discord community of more than 300 members.

The project handles timing-sensitive actions, multiple user configurations, live Discord events, safe credential storage, automatic updates, error recovery, logging, and regression testing.

Maintaining MudaRemote has taught me how to improve a product through real user feedback, support different environments, investigate difficult runtime problems, and release changes without breaking existing configurations.

A privacy-focused Windows application for converting images, documents, audio, and video files locally.

Files never need to be uploaded to an external service. The application combines a modern desktop interface with local conversion tools and can be packaged as both an installer and a portable application.

Built with Electron, React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Sharp, and FFmpeg.

Other projects

  • YT-Sentence-Flow — improves YouTube captions by combining fragmented subtitle text into complete, easier-to-read sentences.
  • MudaLoot — a companion extension for MudaRemote that automates Mudae Kakera Loot cycles with controlled timing, confirmation handling, and synchronized state.

Technical background

  • Languages: C++20, C#, Python, TypeScript, JavaScript
  • Desktop development: Win32 APIs, .NET 8, WPF, Electron
  • Interfaces: React, WPF/XAML, Tailwind CSS
  • Automation: event-driven systems, asynchronous workflows, rate limiting, state coordination, and recovery logic
  • Delivery and quality: automated testing, GitHub Actions, CodeQL, CMake, Windows packaging, release pipelines, checksums, localization, and technical documentation

How I work

I value software that solves a real problem and can be trusted by the person using it.

My preferred way of working is to understand the problem first, build the smallest dependable solution, test how it behaves when things go wrong, and improve it through honest user feedback.

If you are hiring for work that overlaps with these areas, or would like to collaborate on an open-source project, I would be happy to talk.
