Hey Matt,
Truly enjoy tomo and I have been using it for quite some rails projects. For a current quick&dirty project I wanted to check out, if a direct deployment without using a git repository is an option. This PR tries to set up a
direct deploymentplugin, which can be used instead of thegitplugin. It simply creates a tar archived and streams that over SSH to the remote host.Let me know if you think this could be an addition to the core tomo. I do think it's quite basic functionality. But if you'd rather have it as a 3rd party plugin, I see if I can publish it as such, but I might need to duplicate some SSH functionality then to enable streaming.
