Review Summary
The code does not throw errors as required. The catch block only logs the error with console.error() but does not include a throw err; statement, which is necessary to propagate the error to the caller.

Review Summary
The catch block must throw the error after logging it to ensure proper error propagation. Currently, only console.error(err) is used, which does not meet the requirement to throw an error when something goes wrong.
