GForm Automator

GForm Automator is a Chrome extension for automating Google Forms using AI providers. It provides a popup UI, background worker, and content script to extract, fill, and submit forms on docs.google.com/forms/*.

Setup

  1. Install dependencies:
    npm install
  2. Build the extension:
    npm run build

Load as an unpacked extension

  1. Open Chrome and go to chrome://extensions
  2. Enable Developer mode
  3. Click Load unpacked
  4. Select the extension/ folder created by the build

Repository structure

  • src/ - TypeScript source files and extension assets
  • src/extension/ - extension manifest, popup HTML, and icons
  • extension/ - generated build output for the Chrome extension
  • package.json - npm scripts and project metadata
  • rollup.config.js - Rollup build configuration

GitHub publishing

  1. Initialize a git repository (if needed):
    git init
  2. Add files and commit:
    git add .
    git commit -m "Initial commit"
  3. Add your GitHub remote and push:
    git remote add origin https://github.com/<username>/gform-v2.git
    git branch -M main
    git push -u origin main
