Battle-tested prompt engineering rules for FLUX.2 image generation (Black Forest Labs flux2-max, flux2-pro, flux2-flex, flux2-klein on Replicate or the BFL API).
The skill auto-activates when you write or debug FLUX.2 prompts. Symptoms it catches: flat lighting, default 3×3 grid layouts, ignored later instructions, wrong colors, miscounted items, vague "professional photo" output.
What it teaches Claude:
- The 12 rules — exact item counts, hex colors per object, named camera + lens + aperture, per-item positions and angles, named physical shadow sources with explicit angles, micro-cement vs concrete surface terminology, no negatives, no formatting characters, front-loaded item count
- The 30–80 word sweet spot and why attention degrades past 80 words
- An 11-step reformulation workflow for verbose or poorly performing prompts
- A pre-flight checklist to verify a prompt before sending
- A full before/after example reducing a 150-word verbose prompt to a 90-word conformant one
- API parameters for Replicate (including the JSON double-escape gotcha)
- Image editing rules — what works, what doesn't, the LANCZOS crop-and-upscale workaround for geometric resizing
- Common mistakes table mapping each symptom to its fix
Install:
/plugin install flux2-prompt-engineering@marcoleder-pluginsTrigger examples (after install, just type these and the skill activates):
- "help me write a FLUX.2 prompt for a hero image"
- "my FLUX.2 output keeps coming back as a 3×3 grid, why?"
- "reformulate this verbose prompt for FLUX.2"
Does NOT activate for Stable Diffusion, Midjourney, DALL-E, Imagen, or Ideogram — the rules differ across models and applying FLUX.2 conventions there would degrade output.
