Change

docs/changes/20260727-spec-conversion-and-guidance-sweep/ — the terminal carrier of the change-model-hard-cut lineage, promoted from capture-only to structurally executable. Its sequencing predecessor, docs/changes/20260811-linear-native-coordination/, landed on main as a capture-only brief (5987614); this PR references it but carries only the sweep.

What & Why

Shapes the retirement of the legacy work surface: loaf spec/loaf task (with all markdown-compat machinery), the breakdown skill, and every guidance surface that still routes toward them. Eight implementation units: a mechanical rows-to-intake migration (loaf migrate work-records) lands first so no window exists where legacy rows are unreachable; CLI and state removal follow; install/init/hooks, skills, and docs converge; the content-hygiene gate flips from pinning the compatibility stance to forbidding the retired surface; a dogfood run migrates Loaf's own 15 open specs and 17 open tasks and archives the 24 top-level SPEC files, ending with a loaf change verify receipt.

Two model updates are recorded as Decisions: the brief's target_release: 0.3.0 strong-gate framing is formally retired — under the revised ADR-026 the sweep stays unpinned and derives as an arc of one, bumping X at its own cut — and Linear-native coordination is restored to its recorded position ahead of the sweep, carrying the operator mandate that Linear's ontology informs the internal model (that Change owns ADR-011's supersession).

Review focus

• Decision 3 (hybrid disposition): the migration writes Intents only, never briefs — the SQLite-unattended vs docs/changes-authored boundary.
• Decision 5 (promise retirement): confirm the arc-of-one reading matches your intent for the old 0.3.0 gate.
• Decision 6 (sequencing): the sweep cannot execute until linear-native-coordination lands — implement's preflight re-checks convergence targets against the landed model.
• TASK-002/TASK-005 split sanctions: both are flagged heavyweight; challenge the slice boundaries.
• The Cut list: no public read-only compat commands, no machine-authored briefs, no schema drops.

Verification

Migration / breaking changes

None in this PR (shaping documents only). The shaped work defines the breaking cut: loaf spec/loaf task removed, migration via loaf migrate work-records, projects with open legacy rows nudged on next open.
