Welcome to the PartyUI wiki!
Simple SwiftUI package containing a bunch of random UI components we reuse at jailbreak.party.
PartyUI supports iOS 16.0+ and has been optimized for iOS 18< (pre-liquid glass) and iOS 26+ (liquid glass). In our projects, we follow a design philosophy very similar to Apple's, with our own special touch. In the component documentation, you'll see a wide set of components that are completely available to you! All components in these packages are meant for use in SwiftUI.
Note that some of these components may be optimized for our specific projects, and therefore may not fit well with whatever you're trying to make.
- We like to keep our UI's relatively simple. Almost all of our apps use some variation of
List, which, while plagued with bugs that involve hit areas and performance, work great for our specific use cases. - Unlike Apple, however, we like to have more visual indicators and icons inside of our apps. You'll see this if you look at headers (which almost always have an icon in them) or the various choices we have for UX.
- There's a balance between the general user experience and our visuals. The only time you will see any complicated user interfaces is when we are working with a previewer for a feature inside of the app, which are not designed to be reusable.
- The UI only has what it needs, with respect to the user experience. We don't want users of our apps to look at a bunch of fancy effects or buttons and get confused by how to actually navigate the app or do something inside of it.
