Configuration

Default Behavior

Card Present

When a smart card is inserted:

Workstation remains usable
No action is taken

Card Removed

When a smart card is removed:

Workstation is immediately locked
Access is denied until a card is present

Supported Cards

Any smart card detected by pcscd can currently be used.

Examples:

ATM cards
Debit cards
Credit cards
Employee smart cards
Government smart cards
PKI smart cards
