Hi Theo,
At BH you gave me an ESP that was not connecting to the WIFI network properly. I tried some stuff and explicitly setting the WIFI mode to 'STA' (=station/client mode) combined with lowering the TX power resolved the issue for the faulty ESP that you gave to me. Also I adjusted the initial state of the state machine so that the space state data would be fetched right away instead of 60s after bootup. Hopefully it could save some ESPs from the scrap pile ;)!
