Workspace boot no longer installs Claude Code — Pi is the sole agent harness, and the curl-piped installer was dead weight on every create/start (the legacy
claude -prollback executor now expects a preinstalled binary). In its place, every workspace gets thepi-subagentspackage viapi install npm:pi-subagents, providing thesubagenttool the compound-engineering bundle's agent personas require — groundwork for the single-Deuce-agent direction validated indocs/solutions/architecture-patterns/pi-loads-agent-skills-standard-in-rpc-mode.md. The new installer follows the existing provisioning contract: idempotent, non-fatal, output streamed to the workspace log.
