I really like your idea of using older data to predict more modern outcomes. As you go through your analysis, you could try to compare modern statistics to the ones you predicted to see if there were any major differences. I would be interested to see if there are other variables that have strong correlations.

I like this idea...for your differences in differences model, you would want to create a treatment and control group so that you can compare the effects of certain events (like the Great Migration) before and after. I had to look up the MCMC model as well (haha) and would be curious to see if this would be useful in your analysis. You could try to create a heatmap of population changes or housing prices within certain cities to see if people are moving from one area to another over time, just a thought.

• Can you share the sources of your 1948 deed map? What was the property? (Oh I saw in the map)
• How come these policies violate the 1920 ethics code?
• Nice articulation of your research question.
• Great EDA—maps look amazing.
• Huge finding: Restricted homes are valued more today. 20% is huge. Do your findings hold for comparing similar houses in terms of # of bedrooms/bathrooms, school zones, and in similarly affluent neighborhoods?
• Why were certain locations on the map were designated and some were not, how were these areas chosen?
• Nice secondary analysis with distance to restricted properties. Can you estimate how much $$ increase per say 1 meter proximity to a restricted home via regression?
• We can chat more but some numbers seem a bit off? 34% of $100k should be $34k, not $6k?
• Again make sure to control for number of bedrooms, sq ft, school zone etc.
• I like that ethics is embedded throughout your slides.

• A quick recap on motivation at the beginning could help set the stage up for your analyses.
• I like the story approach more in the flow of your slides. So, I'd say you can increase the number of such slides you have.
• Nice violin plot!
• How much house level characteristics explain home value compared to neighborhood characteristics?
• I like the idea of focusing on three cities separately.
• Great ethics discussion. Could expand more on location choice of developers. What kind of homes are newly being built in what neighborhoods?
