This is really cool and could uncover aspects of certain presidential elections to see if they lived up to expectations in terms of the US economy. Your ideas regarding the initial visualizations are great and predicting the presidency based on economic factors is interesting. You may want to acknowledge that the value of money during certain periods has changed, and that certain metrics may need to be adjusted. Using other historical events in US history could also help support your results as well.

You could categorize certain players based on how frequently they are named an All-Star or given other awards to compare the salaries within those groups (salary tiers like you’ve described). You could also look at the overall team performance and their total salaries each year to see if there are relationships between how expensive their players are and the team’s overall success.

• The egg pie visualization was a nice touch.
• Consider making a viz and posting it on r/dataisbeautiful. Possibly a very concise graph grabbing as much info as possible from what you presented. But try browsing first to see if anyone did anything about egg or gas price by president terms.
