Interesting topic as I expect results vary a lot by industry. Eg, in person ones got hit hard during covid, but not necessarily in say 2008 crisis etc.
Try building simulations that includes optimized portfolio chosen by a model you propose. Should probably use machine learning.
You should try to come with a creative viz that highlights the difference between 08 and covid crises. I am not exactly sure what the best way is, but r/dataisbeautiful should give some ideas. It doesn't have to be crisis specific, but you can search for any graph that involves comparisons.
Try to give more in depth info for implications for stakeholders and ethical implications.
Final presentation comments:
-More explanation of models, their historical development etc would help the audience understand them better.
-Focusing more on industry and type of crisis is probably the most interesting part.
-Would you be able to cluster based on performance?
-Should find ways to make the presentation more engaging. Like, maybe start with a thought experiment where you have your savings of $1,000 and discuss what you could do with it. Or focus on one big investment company that did better and another that did worse and discuss why they may have done worse or better. What are they optimizing on? When you invest it helps to know how the returns are being generated.
-I liked your stakeholders implications but the connection between this section and the presentation content could be improved. Maybe you can take each and connect with part in the slides you discussed.
-I think imprecision in simulation implications should be under stakeholder implications instead of ethics.
-Under ethics could discuss things like, whose money is being lost the most when a crisis hits, working class family savings etc. To motivate discussions here you can always find information online like news articles etc.
