This is a great research question! Here is an idea to take this research a step further: maybe you could scrape reviews from Yelp (or another dining feedback app) from restaurants that already have Michelin stars and use that information to try to predict (incorporated with your other variables you listed) if a restaurant may get a star or not.

Big project progress:

  • I think you can market your topic better. Try changing: predicting Super Bowl attendance to something like how much does it matter who performs the half time show for ticket sales. Even though you have other regressors, it's ok to highlight one aspect that is more "catchy."
  • For halftime performance, you should combine 'popularity' probably from Spotify. Of course it should be # of listeners at the time of the show or the same year.
  • Showing correlation between attendance and capacity would be interesting! Try a scatterplot :)
  • I like the price by year graph. Do you have standard deviation of ticket prices too?
  • I like the host city graph too.
  • Nice box plot graph. I think in your graphs it makes sense to dig deeper into extremes, positive and negative ones. That would be really interesting.
  • Great implications. Try to give more details in societal, ethical, legal implications.

Final project data, code, readme, and presentation.

Final presentation comments:
-Nice discussion on the decisions you made.
-Great EDA time series graphs.
-Ticket price graph is really cool too. I would plot inflation adjusted prices.
-Nice discussion of background of Super Bowl, old super bowls etc.
-Nice to see capacity and attendance is strongly correlated. I think outliers are really interesting here. Like empty stadiums etc. Also, curious about the r squared of this fit.
-I am extremely curious to know: do ppl go to superbowl for the teams, that is, do ppl care about who is playing. And do ppl care about who is doing the halftime show.
-Nice prediction exercise at the end.
-Very interesting to see at the end that ppl don't seem to care about if better teams are playing. Maybe a future idea is to check the fanbase size of each superbowl team. To see if it's the teams' fans going or just football fans are going.
