Brotherspace provides a secure way to manage your files and digital connections. It creates a private zone on your computer where you keep track of your data, share information with trusted contacts, and organize your digital life. The installation wizard opens and guides you through the setup. Click Next on each screen to accept the default settings. These settings work for most users. Click Install when prompted. The installer copies the necessary files to your machine. Click Finish to close the wizard. Brotherspace now appears in your applications list.
When you open Brotherspace for the first time, the software asks you to create a user profile. Each profile keeps your data isolated.

- Select a folder on your computer to save your data.
- Set a strong password to protect your information.
- Click Create to finalize your setup.
You now see the main user interface. The sidebar on the left lets you switch between your folders, contacts, and settings.
Manage your data through the main dashboard. Click the plus icon to add files or folders to your workspace. Brotherspace indexes these items so you find them later.
To organize your workspace, create categories. Right-click in the empty space of the dashboard and select New Category. Name your category to identify its contents. Drag your files into these categories to keep your workspace tidy.
Brotherspace includes tools to share items with specific people. You must add them to your contact list before you send files.
- Go to the Contacts tab.
- Click Add Contact.
- Input the unique identifier provided by your contact.
- Send a request.
Once the other person accepts the request, you send files directly through the application. Each transfer happens over a secure connection to protect your data.
Adjust the application behavior in the Settings menu. Click the gear icon in the bottom corner to access these options.
- General: Change your language settings or the theme of the application.
- Storage: Monitor the disk space used by your workspace. You change the primary data folder here if you need more space on a different drive.
- Security: Update your password or enable additional encryption for your local data.
- Updates: Check for new versions of Brotherspace. Use this to ensure you have the latest features and security improvements.
Brotherspace prioritizes privacy. The application stores your files in an encrypted format. No one outside your trusted circle accesses this data. We recommend that you keep a separate backup of your important files on an external drive or cloud service. Brotherspace does not store your password, so keep it in a safe place. If you lose your password, you cannot recover your encrypted data.
- Close unnecessary applications while performing large file transfers.
- Keep your Windows operating system up to date.
- Periodically remove files you no longer need to free up storage space.
- Avoid moving the primary workspace folder while the application runs.
If the application fails to open, restart your computer and try again. Ensure no other instance of the program remains open in the background. Check your antivirus settings if the software triggers a notification. Brotherspace is a safe application, but some security suites flag new programs until they recognize them. Add an exception for Brotherspace if your security software prevents its launch.
If you encounter an error during file transfer, check your network status. Brotherspace requires a stable connection to sync data between contacts. If the connection drops, wait a moment and try the transfer again. The application automatically resumes interrupted transfers once the connection restores.
Check the logs folder if persistent issues occur. Right-click the Brotherspace icon in the system tray and select Open Logs. The text files inside contain details about recent activities. Delete old logs to save space.
