Summary

  • canonicalize accepted repository paths once at the scan boundary
  • keep deterministic suffix and node lookup behavior
  • make Rust range binding publish workspace field/identity types before dependent assignments
  • resolve symbol-named PHP imports without depending on namespace-directory order

Why

Five scans of an unchanged 20,130-file OpenClaw worktree returned five different path-order hashes. The prior suffix-only correction removed one ambiguous lookup, but downstream phases still observed nondeterministic repository order.

Canonical sorting exposed two real phase/order dependencies:

  • Rust could process main.rs before models.rs published User.address, dropping City#save.
  • PHP could choose User.php as the first file in a PSR-4 namespace directory for use function App\Models\getUser, even though UserFactory.php declares the function.

The correction retains canonical scanning, makes Rust foundational publication workspace-wide, and gives PHP finalize access to the exact parsed import plus read-only workspace definitions. Function imports select a unique declaring file even when legacy class-style PSR-4 resolution returns null; duplicate declarations fail closed. Constants use a unique namespace-file fallback because constant declarations are not yet emitted as local definitions.

Exact head

8097d86f858384d540e54d5cb48e6d4cd08fea01

Test-first proof

  • scanner unstable-order contract: red before, green after
  • existing Rust City#save method-chain regression: red after canonical scan, green after the workspace prepass
  • PHP cross-file function-import regression: red while the legacy resolver returned null, green after namespace-directory declaration selection
  • duplicate function declarations fail closed; a single constant namespace file resolves deterministically
  • prior affected matrix: 590/590 tests green across scanner, shared finalize, node lookup, Rust, PHP, and cross-file propagation
  • exact-head PHP resolver, golden, and integration matrix: 217/217 green
  • exact-head Prettier, TypeScript no-emit, and production build green
  • prior remote CI exposed two missing-contract artifacts rather than waivers: the scope benchmark baseline and PHP capture golden are both rebaselined with unchanged count/scaling contracts
  • current-head remote cross-platform CI is required before integration
  • two clean final-head disposable OpenClaw canaries remain the release gate

Safety

  • scanner sorting uses code-point comparison and mutates only the newly-created result array
  • Rust foundational bindings are populated once in the existing whole-workspace discovery loop
  • the shared finalize/API additions are optional and source-compatible for every other language
  • PHP selection is restricted to explicit function/constant imports and the Composer-derived namespace directory
  • no live index, package publication, deployment, runtime rollout, or workspace mutation

Closes #95. Related: #58, #92, #94, #97, #39.
