Important
The legacy Kilo Code VS Code extension and JetBrains plugin in this repository reach end of life on July 31, 2026.
After that date, Kilo will not provide updates, bug fixes, security patches, compatibility fixes, marketplace releases, or maintenance for this legacy codebase. The repository remains available for historical reference and community forks, but it is no longer the source for actively supported Kilo IDE products.
Use these resources instead:
Kilo is the all-in-one agentic engineering platform. Build, ship, and iterate faster with the most popular open source coding agent.

If you want to contribute or modify the extension locally, see the DEVELOPMENT.md file for build and setup instructions.
