Hm that's unfortunate! Maybe it behaves differently on ARM processors. |

I tried it on an ARM64 machine on Oracle Cloud, the performance difference isn't anywhere as close as x64 but it still runs about 2% faster consistently, so it's weird that my previous solution ran fast on an M1. |

This one is ~10% faster, so it hopefully should be sub 2 seconds on a M1 Mac!
