Description

Develop a multi-platform application able to offer multiple user experiences based on a music library available offline – in XML Shareable Playlist Format and JSON Shareable Playlist Format – or on the Web via specific music-oriented public services/APIs like MusicBrainz, Seevl.fm and FreeDB. The application will display, in a smart way, the connections (relationships) between different songs/artists by genre, album, artist, album cover, geographical location, tags, etc. Also, it will show a timeline exploration of artists, genres, influences and so on by using the knowledge provided by Wikidata and Open Music Archive. The user will be able to create "smart" playlists, considered her/his preferences, playing history (provided by Last.fm or a similar music-related service), past concert attendances based on the user's public calendar, near-future events organized in a specific place, and so on. These playlists will be accessed via a SPARQL endpoint. Inspiration: History of Rock Music, Hype Machine, Playlist Generator, Plug.dj.
