Closing — golang.org/x/mod ≥ 0.22 requires Go 1.25 (the package itself declares The pin will be lifted once we move the CI matrix to Go 1.25+, at which point Dependabot can resume bumping x/mod. Until then, ignoring this update via .github/dependabot.yml. |

x/mod v0.22 onwards declares 'go 1.25.0' in its own go.mod, which breaks our CI (the matrix targets Go 1.22 / 1.23 and the golangci-lint v2.1.6 binary is itself built with Go 1.24 — it panics with 'package requires newer Go version go1.25'). Yesterday's commit beaf117 explicitly downgraded x/mod to v0.21.0 (the last release in the 1.22 line); Dependabot then opened PR #6 to undo that decision. Add an ignore rule so the bot stops trying to undo the deliberate pin until we move the CI matrix to Go 1.25+ (at which point this rule can be deleted).
