We aim to pave Golden Paths.
Drawing from Spotify’s pioneering work, golden paths share these characteristics:
- Pre-architected and Supported: The platform team owns and supports the path
- Optional but Recommended: Developers can deviate, but staying on the path ensures support
- Transparent Abstractions: The implementation is visible, not a black box
- Extensible: Teams can add project-specific resources without breaking the pattern
- Evolutionary: Templates improve based on feedback and new requirements
Releases are handled by release-please via the release-please-action in release.yml.
