The view manager widget can be used to modify the current view state of the MEDEA tool.
- To show or hide dock widgets, click the eye icon in the view manager.
- To pop a dock widget out into its own sub-window, or add it to a pre-existing sub-window, click the pop out button, then select the sub-window to move the dock widget to. This will also move the dock widget to the sub-window's section in the view manager.

- Closing a sub-window will move ANY dock windows it owns back into the MainWindow.
- To move a sub-window's dock widget back to the main window without closing the subwindow, click the pop out button on the sub-window (or in the view manager) and select Main Window.
- Tools can be hidden as needed by the user, to re-enable, click the spanner icon in the top right of the main MEDEA window, then select Show All Tool Widgets.
