I grew up in Shanxi, China, then headed to Virginia Tech for my CS undergrad and USC for my MSCS. These days I split time between Los Angeles and Shenzhen, where the hardware is close and the iteration loop is short.
I gravitate toward problems where bits meet atoms — robotics, simulation, agentic tools, and small CLIs that earn their keep. I like shipping over polishing, and I treat side projects as the fastest way to learn anything new.
