Summary

  • Five structurally distinct call-screen chassis at /admin/dialer-mockup, rendered together in a 5-up comparison grid (V44+V45, V46+V47, V48 alone)
  • Each variant tests a different premise about where operator attention lives during a live call. None reuse the same chassis
  • Same sample lead data across all five (Cornelius J. Hayes Jr., $146,500 surplus, June 14 conversation note) so the comparison reads as layout, not content

Premises Tested

Variant Premise
V44 Three Zone Columns Temporal flow maps to spatial position. Left = what's next, center = current, right = lead reference.
V45 Centered Cockpit + Drawer Hide most context behind a pull tab. Only the last conversation, the one piece you can't defer, stays pinned to the hero.
V46 Horizontal Banner + Wide Data Strip Invert proportion. The operator looks at the call card briefly, then spends the rest of the call in context data.
V47 Card Stack Vertical scanning instead of horizontal columns. Stacks by relevance to NOW, background, future. Borrows Linear triage pattern.
V48 Asymmetric L Shape Physical proximity beats column purity. Eye path goes name to context to controls in an L; reinforce with layout.

Test Plan

  • Visit the preview URL at /admin/dialer-mockup while signed in as admin
  • All five mockups visible in the comparison grid
  • Each card click opens the full-size variant
  • Sample data (Cornelius J. Hayes Jr., $146K, June 14 note) reads identically across all five
  • No layout overflow / clipping at 1280x760 canvas
  • Production gate works: /admin/dialer-mockup returns 404 when VERCEL_ENV=production

Five structurally distinct chassis for the live call screen, each
testing a different premise about where operator attention lives
during a call. Comparison grid renders all five at 0.5 scale; each
links to its full-size variant.

V44 Three Zone Columns. 20 / 55 / 25 split. Left queue, center
hero, right lead context. Temporal flow maps to spatial position.

V45 Centered Cockpit + Drawer. Slim queue rail, centered hero,
collapsed right drawer. Only the last conversation stays visible.

V46 Horizontal Banner + Wide Data Strip. 200px banner, full-width
context strip, horizontal queue. Inverts proportion toward context.

V47 Card Stack. Three stacked rows. Vertical scanning by relevance
to NOW, background, future. Borrows Linear triage pattern.

V48 Asymmetric L Shape. Top-left 65x65 hero, bottom strip wraps,
right column stacks queue + notes + contacts.

Same sample lead across all five (Cornelius J. Hayes Jr., 146K
surplus, June 14 conversation note) so the comparison reads as
layout, not content.

Admin-gated. Hidden in production via VERCEL_ENV check.
