Update the theme sync script to propagate light/dark changes to GTK settings, GNOME color-scheme, Kvantum, XFCE icons, xfwm4, and panel state. Watch XFCE xsettings changes so theme switches trigger the sync service. Restart xfce4-panel only when the XFCE light/dark mode changes, ensuring Whisker and panel plugins reload their theme correctly.
Read Cinnamon GTK/icon settings from the Cinnamon dconf namespace. Normalize Cinnamon icon themes when switching light/dark mode and update GTK3, GTK4, GNOME color-scheme, and libadwaita environment state.
Detect Cinnamon light/dark mode from the Cinnamon GTK theme selected by the user, then normalize GTK theme, icon theme, GNOME color-scheme, GTK3/GTK4 settings, Kvantum, and libadwaita environment state.
Do not write gtk-application-prefer-dark-theme for Cinnamon, matching the XFCE behavior. Keep ADW_DEBUG_COLOR_SCHEME at default so already-open Cinnamon/GTK windows can follow live theme changes instead of staying pinned to the mode used at process startup.
Do not keep ADW_DEBUG_COLOR_SCHEME in XFCE or Cinnamon sync runs. GTK4/libadwaita apps should follow the portal and GSettings color-scheme so live light/dark changes can update correctly.
