This library is now fairly common and provides some nice benefits to allow pre-compiling so that downstream consumers do not need to have gcc or clang installed in order to consume this library. The makefile changes were lifted from my `exqlite` library.
This should probably be lifted into a Benchee script instead.

:elixir_makethis provides the ability to precompile binariesI tried to get this working for a windows setup like here but kept running into issues. I will need to work on it some more.
