Hey, I’m Almeida — a backend-focused Software Engineer from Brazil.
At Rewrite, I was responsible for designing and building an API-first SMS infrastructure platform focused on developer experience, reliability, observability, and scalable messaging workflows. The product generated R$ 10k+ in revenue from real customers, was sold for R$ 40k, and grew into a real infrastructure layer for businesses that need programmable SMS, campaigns, webhooks, sandbox environments, and reliable delivery pipelines.
Before Rewrite, I worked as a Software Engineer at AbacatePay, where I helped build developer-facing tools, platform integrations, and open-source packages around payments and local workflows. I’m also an active open-source contributor, with work spanning AbacatePay’s ecosystem, developer CLIs, SDKs, Resend, Zed, and Serenity — a comprehensive Golang linter focused on improving Go development workflows.
My work is mostly centered around backend engineering, API design, clean architecture, distributed systems patterns, and developer experience. My main stack is TypeScript, Golang, PostgreSQL, Redis/Dragonfly, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure — always trying to balance performance, maintainability, and product impact.
I enjoy working on products that are technically challenging and useful in the real world. Whether it’s designing scalable APIs, improving infrastructure, building internal tools, creating SDKs, or contributing to open-source projects, I care about shipping software that developers actually like using.
I’m currently open to Backend Software Engineer opportunities where I can work on APIs, infrastructure, developer tools, fintech, messaging, or high-impact backend systems. You can find more about my work on my portfolio, LinkedIn, and projects on GitHub.
