I needed to update faust in order to use llvm-19 (default) on my system (debian 13/trixie).
Then I updated pure-data to the latest release (0.56-2) for good measure.
There is one warning when opening the external in plugdata though:
obsolete call to sys_trytoopenone(): some extern needs an update
