EcoGuardian is a community-powered environmental reporting app built with Kotlin, designed to protect public health and promote cleaner, greener cities. With a focus on issues like ragweed outbreaks, water pollution, and more, EcoGuardian allows users to report environmental hazards and visualize them on an interactive map.
Each report includes a photo, location, and category (e.g., ragweed, water contamination, air pollution), empowering citizens to raise awareness and take action. The app not only helps people identify and avoid dangerous areas, but also enables them to automatically generate and submit formal reports to local authorities for enforcement and cleanup.
By combining geolocation, real-time data sharing, and civic engagement, EcoGuardian builds a powerful bridge between citizens and municipalities — turning environmental concern into collective action.
-Interactive Map Visualization Users can view environmental hazard reports pinned to a live Google Map, categorized by type (e.g., ragweed, water pollution, air quality issues).
-Environmental Reporting Submit detailed reports for various environmental problems
-User Authentication Account-based system to track user reports and enable secure logins.
-Community Awareness & Collaboration Promotes collective environmental responsibility by allowing users to see and support each other’s reports.
